Robin - Claims Manager at esure,
who has no scruples to take someones car away without asking for
permission. 0845 603 7874 - Customer Service Number On the 18th December 2004 an accident occurred on the Aberdeen to Dundee Road. Tayside Police removed the cars involved in the accident. Without having the permission of the owner of one of the cars esure went to the garage were the cars had been placed. Pretending to have the authorisation of the owner of the car they moved the car to an unknown location. When Tayside Police was ask about the whereabouts of the car, they claimed, that the owner had given permission to move the car. After it was made clear to them that this was not the case and proof of the authorisation was requested the Police decided to change their story and claims now that the company picking up the car claimed to have had the authorisation of the car owner. The letter from esure received in December 2004 with two slips to authorise a person to deal with esure on behalf of the car owner is still available. The slips have never been signed and esure was informed to leave the car alone. When Mr Robin was asked the first time to disclose the location of the car he commented that he did not need the authorisation of the owner because he had acted in the best interest of the owner. Only after threats of getting the Police involved and press for criminal charges the owner of the car was informed that her car had been moved more than 100 miles to a place called Inverkeithing. |
